Seen Rod playing a many Keyboard Festivals UK.
Excellent player and nice to speak with.
Poor Rod has bad eye sight and has to get within an inch of the screen to be able to activate it, but that is where the Performance Buttons come handy.

Korg on there next product should give him a 32" screen.

Can't he connect an external monitor of whatever size he needs to be able to see better?

Well, regardless of his sight impediment he makes that Pa3X sing. Right up there among the best Pa3X demos I've heard.

Rod is such a nice chap and one of the best Hammond players in the UK, its a shame Korg didn't hang onto him.

Now, this is from a CD, right? Does anyone think this is 100% live arranger use (and only one arranger, at that)?

But however done, it's some cool playing...

I was thinking he is probably playing over a SMF. But still a great performance.

It's always possible, and healthy, to take the skeptical view from time to time, but sometimes it's just nice to listen and to appreciate what's on offer and, as a I said before, Mr. Pooley's rendition is right up there.

It's just nice to hear this genre for a change being produced primarily by a modern arranger keyboard.

Again, I see nowhere where it says this is all PA3X...

Not that it matters what or HOW it's done, unless you are thinking that you might be able to pull this off live yourself!

Plus, as the PA3X has a good sampler, there's no guarantee that this is all stock ROM sounds. Again, who cares?

I'm a big fan of using the arranger's output in MIDI as the START of a project. I've done whole projects for people where you COULD say it's arranger output, but after transferring to the DAW/sequencer it's jacked around with a LOT. Sometimes entire parts are replaced and hand played, sometimes there's a LOT of mouse editing, changing fills around a bit, popping in pushes and shots, then sometimes the parts is routed to a different synth/sampler or a VSTi and edited further.

You can do wonders like this, and end the end of the day, you look at it one way, yes, it IS done with an arranger, and look at it the other way, no, it isn't!

Glass half empty, or glass half full? You choose!

Exactly.

But the thread title seems to imply something that may not be correct.
